Floating against an endless field of deep blue, this jellyfish appears almost suspended in space.
I was captivated by the contrast between its intense magenta glow and the darkness surrounding it. Its translucent body, delicate trailing lines and intricate organic forms create something that feels simultaneously fragile and powerful.
Rather than treating the jellyfish simply as marine life, I wanted to isolate it from its environment and allow its shape, color and movement to become the composition. Without a visible sense of scale or place, the familiar becomes almost otherworldly—as if this luminous form were drifting through a universe of its own.
Celestial Drift — Jellyfish in Blue explores the point where nature and abstraction meet, revealing extraordinary forms that exist for only a moment before changing again.
