Few structures represent New York as powerfully as the Brooklyn Bridge, but for me, this photograph is less about the landmark and more about the extraordinary geometry hidden within it.
Standing beneath its web of suspension cables, I was drawn to the repetition of lines and the way they converge toward the center of the frame. The stone arches, cables and wooden walkway create a natural symmetry that seems to pull the viewer forward into the image.
By photographing the scene in black and white, I wanted to remove the distraction of color and concentrate entirely on structure, texture, light and perspective. The result transforms one of New York's most recognizable landmarks into an almost abstract architectural composition.
Lines of Infinity — Brooklyn Bridge, New York reflects my fascination with finding order, rhythm and unexpected geometry within familiar places.
Created in New York City, this fine art photograph is part of my architectural photography collection.
